Bounce Back & Thrive
1-2-1 Coaching Programme
Address what’s holding you back and increase the impact you need to get promoted.
"I made partner!"
I can honestly say, that your help on the panels and how to come across, had a significant impact. Impact has always been a problem for me, but apparently no more, as it didn’t come out as a feedback point at all.

"A great listener "
[Jude] is both challenging when she needs to be and empathetic when required. She appears to have dealt with most situations before and always seems to have useful insights into workplace dynamics, team leadership skills, and rapport-building.

You're ambitious and you’ve worked hard to get to where you are now
You’ve endured the long hours, tight deadlines and challenging market conditions.
You’re consistently achieving above expectations performance ratings.
You’re practically doing the job already and you’re the main point of contact for your clients.
You know you can make a huge difference to your clients and the firm
But you’ve hit a road block
You’re limited by the perceived authority of your current title.
You went for promotion and didn’t get it or you were told you weren’t ready to try.
You see your colleagues with weaker business cases and lower revenue figures passing you by.
You feel hurt, angry and maybe embarrassed.
Imagine next time, sailing through the promotion process, being able to communicate the value you bring to the business with compelling clarity and having a team that is cheering you on.
Let’s be honest, there’s feedback you’ve been hearing for years that you haven’t addressed and now it’s holding you back
It might not feel like it right now, but this is the wake up call you need.
The Bounce Back and Thrive Programme will help you to face your obstacles head on and successfully meet the challenges of a more senior role.
When I was an internal coach at Deloitte I was responsible for supporting senior managers and directors who had been deferred from promotion. The elements of this programme reflect what I saw worked best for those that were successfully promoted.
"Helped me reflect"
I tend to come out with my best material when I am talking ‘ad-lib’ And you really tapped into this in terms of helping me identify several areas of focus as I look to go back through the Partner process later this year.

now Big 4 Partner
"Lets me talk, listens and doesn’t interrupt"
The sessions are challenging, but ensure that I think about the reason for behaviours, and why I feel certain areas to be difficult. I have seen significant developments in how I approach these situations since working with Jude.

The Five Elements of Bounce Back and Thrive
Career Stocktake
You may have been so focused on the next promotion that you’ve probably forgotten why it’s so important. We’ll uncover your ‘why’ so you’ll be able to tell a stronger story to demonstrate that you’re ready for the next step.
Benchmarking
You need to prove that you’ve heard your feedback and people have noticed the changes you’ve made. We will gather information to benchmark where you are now so we can measure your growth at the end of the programme.
Think Like A Coach
As a senior leader in your organisation it’s your responsibility to develop the next level of leaders and that’s easy when you manage in a coach-like way. I’ll show you how to empower your teams through everyday conversations so they’re engaged and motivated to go the extra mile for you.
Work/Life Ratio
Those at the top have more in their life than just work. I’ll help you find your ideal work/life ratio and together we’ll work out how you can spend more time within it.
Promotion Ready
Business case, interviews or presentations, whatever your promotion process I will help you prepare so you feel positive and confident.
Here's how we'll work together to get there.

"Positive self promotion"
I now speak positively (without caveats or pre-judging what others might think) about my successes, find opportunities to let key stakeholders know the progress I’ve made, make time in my diary even if short bursts to work on my business case
Risk Advisory Senior Manager
now Big 4 Director
"Worthwhile and useful"
I think you struck a perfect balance between being friendly/approachable but also focused on using the time effectively and recognising we had goals to address. I think there was a benefit for me in terms of having time and space (and help) to focus on and articulate some of my career development challenges and goals.

Here's the qualification criteria
I need to make sure you’re ready and you’ll implement what you learn so here’s the qualification criteria:
- You’re in a senior position (below partner level) in a professional services firm
- You’ve either been unsuccessful for a promotion, or told you aren’t ready to join the next promotion round
- You lead teams of people and have performance management responsibility
- You’re ready to peel back the layers of resistance and implement what you learn
Not sure if coaching is right for you? This article might help.
What are my qualifications?
I trained as a coach when I was at Deloitte in 2011 and have over 900+ hours logged with 200+ people. I’m accredited through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and hold a MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck University.
As part of my ongoing development I’m in a coaching supervision group that meets four times a year and I do at least 40 hours of continuing professional development a year.
Prior to retraining as a coach I was a certified informational systems auditor through ISACA and certified internal auditor through the IIA.
What’s the investment?
Usually a programme like this would be £1,440 for a self funding individual.
But as this is a new programme I’m offering a reduced price of £1,008 for 5 spaces in return for feedback and a video testimonial that I can use in my marketing.
You can also pay in 3 monthly instalments of £336.
Pricing for organisational funded coaching is £3,360 and includes two 30 mins tripartite sessions with the individuals’ line manager/appraiser/sponsor.
" Immeasurably assisted me"
As you know, I have taken up an opportunity with another firm. The sessions were efficient in themselves and gave me the “tools” to be able to assess and consider my behaviour and interactions outside of the sessions. In the sessions, the probing questioning was a good method to tease out my understanding of the issue and attempt to unpick the behaviours that are being exhibited and that I would like to change.

"Would definitely do it again"
You were direct, responsive and challenged me. I liked this, there were a few sessions when it got quite “stretched” ie 4th session in and it was clear I wasn’t in the right frame of mind, you were very direct and told me how you felt which was good (even talked about cancelling the session). We then got back on track. This was great, rather than just “going through the motions”

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee I’ll get promoted?
No. There are so many variables that go into a promotion that neither of us can control. What I can guarantee is that if you put the work in and are willing to explore any resistance that might arise then you will leave the programme having made clear steps towards YOUR definition of career success.
You say this is a new programme, have you coached people facing these challenges before?
Yes. When I worked in Learning and Development for Audit and Risk Advisory at Deloitte I was the learning advisor on the Director promotion panels. I also ran a programme for Senior Managers and Directors who were deferred from promotion to help them successfully pass reassessment.
The testimonials on this page are from people I coached while at Deloitte.
What happens in a coaching session?
You probably have a lot of people giving you advice and telling you what they think you should do. Coaching is different, instead of telling you what I think you should do I help you work it out for yourself. Each session is decided by you and follows a consistent structure.
Beginning: We check in, celebrate wins, and establish the question for the session.
Middle: I ask you thought-provoking questions to explore your question and help you find solutions that will work for you. You’ll be doing most of the talking and I won’t tell you what to do because what works for me is probably not going to work for you.
Ending: Reflect on your insights from the session and actions you want to take away.
The Bounce Back and Thrive programme differs from other coaching offerings because you will be aware of how I coach so you can use the same techniques with your teams.
You can find out more in this blog post.
What happens in a discovery call?
A discovery call lasts for 45 minutes and is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask you to tell me about your career to date, your apsirations and what has made you curious about coaching now. This will also give you a taste of what my coaching style is like.
You’ll also get to ask me any questions that you have. If you’re not sure what to ask this blog post might help.
At the end of the call I’ll let you know if I can help and if I can’t I’ll offer some suggestions you can follow up.
How much time will this take me?
In total you’ll spend six and half hours in coaching sessions with me and then it’s up to you how much time you want to devote into putting your insights into action.
I believe the most successful changes come from changing your mindset and approach to things you’re already doing so if you find your actions from sessions are taking more than 3 hours a week to implement, let’s talk about that.
Can I contact you between sessions?
Yes, you’ll be able to email me between sessions if you need additional support and I’m always happy to have a quick 5 minute conversation when you need it.
OK so how do I join The Bounce Back and Thrive Coaching Programme?
Use this Calandly link to book a 45 minute discovery call with me.
We’ll talk about where you’re at right now and I’ll let you know at the end of the call if I can help.
Why is organisational pricing more than self funding pricing?
When an organisation funds the coaching of it’s employees there is extra work involved for the coach because they need to manage more relationships and also have to make sure that the best interests of the business are maintained throughout the sessions.
This translates into more meetings and additional adminsration time required to set up the contract and invoice an organisation as compared to someone self funding.
I’ve got another question
I know this is a big investment and you need to be sure so please send me as many questions as you have or we can set up a call. Get in touch at jude@thinkwithjude.com.
